Know what happens to your audio
Where a recording lives, when it uploads, and when it goes away.
Walkthrough coming
The video for Know what happens to your audio is still being filmed. The written steps below are complete on their own.
The steps
- Recording happens inside your browser. Nothing reaches VO GOAT while you are recording.
- Tap Discard and the audio is deleted from your device. It never leaves it.
- Discarding still stores the count of the attempt, which is how 3 takes a day is counted on the free plan.
- Tap Keep and your browser turns the take into an MP3 right on your device, then that one file uploads. It is yours, and no one else can play it.
- You can download a kept take within 24 hours of recording it on the free plan, or any time on a paid plan.
- Deleting a kept take deletes the audio file itself, not only the row that points at it.
- Kept audio is deleted 30 days after the take, on every plan. The plate, the run, and the share card all stay.
- Nothing analyses your voice. The creature comes from the recipe, never from your recording, and your audio is never training data.
- Read the whole promise on the Your voice data page.
Revoking a share link kills that link for good, whatever else you keep.
Every guide lives on the how to play page.
